We have all, at some point or another, come across the saying, “Eyes are the windows to the soul.” It is used to express beauty in a person and the emotion that one is going through. Until, now it had only been a generalized statement. Well, guess what? Scientists have now discovered that eyes are indeed windows to the soul. Each person’s eyes are different and they say something distinct about each one of us. Not just this, eyes are also integral to one’s beauty. “The beauty of a woman must be seen from in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides” said the famous actress Audrey Hepburn. Beautiful eyes are the most important feature of a beautiful face and a beautiful soul. In spite of this, not many of us take good care of our eyes. Most Common Eye Problems (Beauty)
Some of the most common eye problems that rob you off your natural beauty are dark circles, bags, crow’s feet, wrinkles and puffy eyes. The most common of the eye problems is the dark circles. While lack of sleep, working hard and tiredness are attributed as some of the reasons for dark circles, genes also play a very important role.
Wrinkles on the other hand appear due to skin cells dying around the eyes. This mainly happens as dermis or the inner skin later thins out. Other factors that contribute to wrinkles are loss of elasticity and structure, loss oil and moisture, nutritional deficiencies, smoking, repetitive facial expressions and UV rays exposure.
While lack of sleep is one of the reasons for puffy eyes, they are also a consequence of aging. With age the muscles and tissues that hold the eye lids deteriorate. As this happens, the skin around it loses its strength and sags. Fluid starts to buildup in such skin resulting in puffy eyes.
