How to Use ACV as Face Wash?

It is best to dilute the Apple Cider Vinegar while using it initially. Also, even though it fights and prevents acne, it is likely to have a stinging effect on pimples. Hence, you must be cautious while using it and start with small diluted portions.

Firstly, preparing ACV for face wash is easy. Take a tablespoon of ACV in a small bowl and thoroughly mix it with warm water. Start with a ratio of 1:3. That is 1 tablespoon of ACV and 3 tablespoons of warm water. As your skin gets acclimated to ACV move on to a 1:2 and then to 1:1. If your skin is too sensitive, they you are better off starting with a ratio of 1:5. The best way to test your sensitivity is to apply it to an inconspicuous part. See if you have any reactions after about an hour. If you do, increase the dilution and test again.


Once you are comfortable with ACV, you can start using it as a skin cleanser. Use lukewarm water and splash your face. Take a cotton woolen ball and dip it in the ACV face wash mixture. Gently clean your face and neck with upward strokes. Use the different side of the cotton woolen ball or a different ball itself for nose, forehead and either cheek.

Do this daily and you will see results within a couple of weeks. Apart from the many benefits for the skin, ACV also has numerous health benefits, including control of blood sugar, immunity enhancing and bowel regularity improvement.
