This is one cool kid that you will envy. He has a fantastic voice and sings like a dream, and he is all of 12-years-old. Sparsh Shah has become an Internet sensation for rapping Eminem’s hit song “Not Afraid,” and he does such an amazing job that Eminem himself has shared the video with his fans on Twitter. What makes this story even more awesome is that he suffers from an incurable disease called Osteogenesis Imperfecta.
Sparsh is of Indian origin living with his parents in New Jersey. He is suffering from Osteogenesis Imperfecta, which makes his bones brittle and fragile. He has had over 125 fractures so far, but that hasn’t stopped him from pursuing his passion for music. He shows off his rapping skills in this video:
Sparsh goes under the rap moniker of Purhythm. His condition is so severe that even a handshake can result in a fracture. He moves around in a wheelchair so that he does not put too much pressure on the bones in his legs. He is so good that if you close your eyes and listen to the song, you might wonder if Eminem himself is singing the song.
His YouTube video has gone viral and reached millions of people. It has got over 700,000 views. It has been viewed over 100,000 times and shared over 3,000 times on Facebook. Even Shady Records, Eminem’s record label, has retweeted the video.
Sparsh ruthlessly works on his passion. He has already penned 10 songs of his own along with several poems, short stories and speeches. He ever performs at local events in his hometown of New Jersey.
Sparsh has shown that we are only limited by our will and imagination. His message is loud and clear: If you have the will and persevere, you can achieve anything in spite of the external circumstances.
