Hence, it is ideal to spend 10-15 minutes in the sun without applying sunscreen. The ideal amount of Vitamin D required depends on skin color, age, season, time of day, etc. But, 10-15 minutes must be good enough for an average person.
Other sources of Vitamin D are milk, orange juice, cereals, yogurt, egg yolk, salmon and shrimp.
Prevention is always better than cure. So, watch out for these signs in you and check your Vitamin D levels periodically.
